Hollywood’s Next Blockbuster Isn’t a Movie — It’s “Micro-Sports”

LOS ANGELES — November 21, 2025 — World 1 League, a next-gen sports entertainment company founded by Hollywood industry veterans and Olympic medalists, today announced the world premiere of a new, industry-defining genre: “Micro-Sports” — entirely original, fast-paced sports custom-built for the digital era.

Micro-Sports combine two of the fastest-growing sectors in entertainment: the recent $20 billion explosion of short-format, cinematic content (called “Micro-Dramas”); and the global demand for premium live events (PLEs).

Each Micro-Sport is structured around a 30-second countdown clock — a digital-era equivalent of a shot clock that forces instant action and supercharges the drama inside World 1 Arena. With its first-of-its-kind, modular stage, World 1 Arena merges projection mapping, immersive lighting, and industry-first virtual display technology to deliver a cinematic viewing experience in arenas worldwide.

World 1’s initial three Micro-Sports are aimed at settling the ultimate sports debate: Who is The World’s Fastest; The World’s Strongest, and The World’s Toughest? From Olympians to emerging phenoms, every contest carries the high-stakes tension of combat sports: championship belts, rivalries, and titles that are always on the line.

“Fastest”: Sprinters have 30 seconds to reach Max MPH thru a 10-yard speed chamber.

“Strongest”: Lifters have 30 seconds to post a combined bench press and squat total.

“Toughest”: Fighters have 30 seconds to take down opponent — no strikes.

“Traditional sports weren’t built for digital audiences,” said Brett Morris, co-founder and CEO of World 1 League. “So we built new ones — completely original sports designed for the feed. Our Micro-Sports deliver what today’s audiences crave most — scroll-stopping intensity.”

World 1 League’s Micro-Sports introduce a dual-format breakthrough: Each competition not only delivers a long-form, premium live event, but also individual, high-energy digital episodes that can thrive anywhere — from TikTok to YouTube to broadcast television.
